Piston Privacy Policy

This privacy policy descirbes how the OBD2 diagnostic application Piston (later called "Application") uses and collect the information it has access to.

“Personal Data” is information that may identify you as an individual.

The Application may have access to the following information:

This Application requests the access to the location when is scanning for the Bluetooth devices as this is required by the Android system. The Application itself does not process or use the location.

The Application does not send any personal data. All the data is handled only on the device locally (e.g. to initiate the connection or to display the data).

The Application may send the information about the status of the connection (successful or failed) with the information which command failed or if there was the Bluetooth of WiFi connection problem. This data is anonymous and there is no device ID sent. The above data is collected to monitor the stability of the application.
